Heat Fall 4-1 To Moose

Winnipeg MB - The Manitoba Moose scored three unanswered goals in the second period en route to a 4-1 win over the Abbotsford Heat in Winnipeg on Sunday night.

Brian Salsito, Michael Grabner, Nathan McIver and Evan Oberg scored for the Moose while first star Sergei Shirokov handed out two assists in the victory for the Moose, their first in regulation over the HEAT this season.

Kris Chucko netted his ninth goal of the season late in the third period to spoil the shutout bid of Moose keeper Corey Schneider. Matt Keetley takes the loss for the Heat, as he was on the hook for four goals on 19 shots before being relieved by Leland Irving midway thru the second period. Irving stopped all 13 shots he faced in relief.

The same two teams will battle on Monday in the 'Peg.
