TONIGHT
Stockton concludes a home-and-home series with the Ontario Reign while opening up a three-game road trip that takes the team to SoCal and to the first meetings with the Colorado Eagles.
This season the Heat and Reign have met 3 of 10 times with the Heat winning at Citizens Business Bank Arena for the team's first win of the season but fell in overtime to Ontario at Stockton Arena on the Heat's home opener. The Heat then played their most complete game of the season on Friday against the Reign that saw the Heat take down Ontario 5-1, snapping the Reign's two-game win streak.

WHO TO WATCH
Not even a question this time, it's Oliver Kylington.
Kylington recorded his second three-point night of the season on Friday, making another large impact on another Heat victory this season. Even more impressive than Kylington ranking third on the Heat in scoring is his numbers against the Reign this season. A total of 6 of Kylington's 10 points have come against the Heat's SoCal rival, and we don't think that's going to stop tonight.
Having come close to the hat trick not once but now twice this season against Ontario is nice, but could today be the day? Tune in to AHLTV to find out!
QUINER TO THE RESCUE
What a way to return to the lineup. After missing eight games due to injury, Alan Quine returned to the lineup on Friday night in a big, big way. He got the Heat on the board first when a wrister from the right circle beat Cal Petersen, and followed that up with an assist on Oliver Kylington's second period goal.
As if that wasn't enough, Quine stole a pass in his own zone and went coast-to-coast, finishing with the shot past Petersen for his first three-point night of the season.
Quine has only appeared in four games on the season, and three against Ontario (though he left early in the game on October 12, but has recorded all five of his points against the Reign this season.
LAZAR WITH THE MULTI-POINT GAME
After being shutout last Saturday, Curtis Lazar got back on the scoresheet with his third multi-point game of the season, assisting on Kerby Rychel's power-play goal in the first and on Mangiapane's 99thAHL point in the third.
Lazar leads the Heat as 6 of his 8 points have come on the power play. The centerman is fourth on the team in points despite playing one less game than Mangiapane, Tyler Graovac and Kerby Rychel, who lead the team with 12, 10 and 9 points respectively.
PHILLY'S FIRST
After being shutout in eight games to start his first full season pro, Matthew Phillips finally broke free offensively on Friday night, recording his first point of the season, an assist, on Alan Quine's opening goal, but followed that up with his first pro goal, which would also stand as his first game winner, in the first period on Friday night.
Phillips had played 215 WHL games in his career and recorded 136 goals and 281 points in his career, so getting his first goal should lead to some boosted confidence going forward.
STICK IT TO CANCER
With this month being Hockey Fights Cancer and the Heat have played their signature cancer event, Stick it To Cancer on November 3. After the game as jerseys were being auctioned off to the fans, the players on the Stockton Heat elected to chip in and bid on Adam Ollas Mattsson's jersey, who tragically lost his mother to cancer six years ago.
Ollas Mattsson also was able to wear the "A" on his chest during the team's cancer game, his first time serving as an alternate captain for the Heat.
INTERESTING FACT
In four of the Heat's wins this year, the team has won close games, having gone 4-0-1-0 in games decided by one goal. Stockton beat Ontario in overtime on 10/12, held on to beat SJ on 10/21, took a shootout win in San Diego on 10.26 and beat the Bakersfield Condors on home ice on 10/30.
The lone blemish in close games came against the Reign to open the home portion of the schedule in an overtime loss.
However, last Friday's game against Ontario was the first time all season the Heat won a game by more than a goal, beating Ontario by four goals.
