Stockton Heat News Release
Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat close out their preseason sporting an unscathed 2-0 record, following their 4-1 win over the Bakersfield Condors Friday night at Stockton Arena. All four of the Heat's goals came from four different players, Garet Hunt, Kenny Agostino, Austin Carroll and Turner Elson, as the Stockton crowd was treated to a total team effort from their hometown team. Heat goaltender Kent Simpson stopped 15 of the 16 shots he faced, with the only goal coming off a shorthanded two-on-one. The Stockton Heat will now look to regroup, shape-out their roster and get ready for opening night October 10 at Stockton Arena against the Rockford IceHogs.

QUOTES
"[Austin Carroll] did a good job getting in there and getting me the puck. I just sort of put my head down and tried to shoot the puck as quick as I could. It was on my backhand so I let it go and it found its way into the net." - Turner Elson on his backhand goal that lit the lamp in the third.
"There are some things that we can build on and we've gone over them in some of our practices. The players did a pretty good job of trying to apply some of those things these two games. Really a good first and third for us tonight. We skated well and moved our feet and it showed on the scoreboard." - Head Coach Ryan Huska on his team's play over the last 48 hours.
"More plays were made tonight. Last night was a sloppy game for the most part. There were a lot of miscues both ways in San Jose, but tonight I thought we kept control of the puck a little more often. Bakersfield tonight had a bit of a younger group that lacked some of the experience that they'll have when we face them in the regular season, but really we were just able to make a few more plays tonight." - Coach Huska on the key difference between last night's win in San Jose and tonight's.
"It's just huge support and the reason I come back here year after year. I love the city and they couldn't be better to me making me feel at home. For a preseason game the fans were making a lot of noise and I thought they did a great job tonight sticking behind us." - Garet Hunt on playing for the Heat in front of the home crowd
