Checkers Add Four to Camp Roster

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers today announced four additions to their roster for training camp that continues through next week at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail.
Four players- Brock McGinn, Derek Ryan, Brett Pesce and Jaccob Slavin- have all been assigned to Charlotte following Carolina's final preseason game. The Hurricanes' roster now sits ready for the season opener at 23.
McGinn returns to Charlotte after an impressive rookie season where he ranked third on the team in goals, leading all rookies. Pesce and Slavin will be starting their rookie campaigns after leaving the college ranks, though the former appeared in four games at the end of last season for Charlotte on an ATO. Ryan will kick off his first pro season in North America after building a solid career overseas, leading the Swedish League in scoring last season and being named league MVP.
