Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced that the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League have released forwards Jeff Bateman, Paul Caponigri, and Derek Edwardson and defensemen Dave Reid and Ben Wallace. All five players will report to Bullies training camp which is scheduled to open at 4PM tomorrow at Boardwalk Hall.

In preparation for the 2004-05 season and the season opener on October 22 at Pee Dee, the Bullies will play three pre-season games during training camp. The first pre-season contest takes place at 6:30PM on Saturday, October 9 as the Bullies host an intra-squad scrimmage at Vineland Ice Arena in Vineland, NJ. The Bullies will also travel to Las Vegas to battle the Wranglers in two pre-season games on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 at the Orleans Arena. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 7:05PM PST.

Individual game tickets for the 2004-05 season are currently on sale and can be purchased anytime by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420 or by visiting the Boardwalk Hall box office Monday-Saturday from 11AM-5PM.

The Bullies and Vineland Ice Arena will be hosting an intra-squad scrimmage at 6:30PM on Saturday, October 9. Tickets for this event are only $6 and can be purchased by calling a Bullies Customer Service Representative at (609) 348-7825, or by calling the Vineland Ice Arena at (856) 691-2222. Full season ticket holders will receive admission free of charge.
