Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ (October 6, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Matt Libby and right wing Chris Corrinet for the 2004-05 season and have signed goaltender Chris King to a tryout agreement. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Libby returns to the Titans for the first time since the 2000-01 season, where he tallied 7 goals, 21 assists and 31 penalty minutes in 49 games. The 26-year old split time last year between the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

"Matt brings an offensive upside from the defensive end," said Mike Havliand, Titans Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. "He's very strong on the power play and we're excited to have him back

Since graduating from Providence College in 2001, Libby has been a mainstay in the AHL, appearing in 92 games over the course of three seasons, while skating for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Portland Pirates, Saint John Flames and Syracuse Crunch.

Corrinet, a former linemate of Scott Bertoli at Princeton University, played 8 games for the Washington Capitals in 2001-02.

"Chris is a big kid that we expect big things from," Haviland stated. "He moves real well for a big guy and he's got soft hands around the net. He's got big some league experience as well and we're excited to have him in camp."

A member of the Portland Pirates and a teammate of Matt Libby in 2002-03, Corrinet has also played for the Philadelphia Phantoms and Worcester Ice Cats over 128 games in the AHL.

King, 22, enters his rookie season after lettering for four years at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

"Chris comes very highly regarded to the Titans," Haviland said. "He comes from a great program and we're looking forward to see what he can do."

The native of Anchorage, Alaska was voted team MVP after a record-breaking senior season where he established new UAA goaltending marks in highest single-season save percentage (.921) and highest career save percentage (.896).
