
Hawks Sweep Aside Hops 6-4

Hillsboro, Oregon - The Hawks smacked five doubles and 13 hits as they completed their first sweep of the season, defeating the Hillsboro Hops by a final score of 6-4.
The Hawks got on the board in the first inning, putting up two runs on Hops starting pitcher, Tyler Bolton off a two-run single from Terry McClure.
The Hops responded with one run in the bottom half of the inning, scoring on a Trevor Mitsui fielder's choice off Hawks starting pitcher, Colin Welmon.
The Hawks added one run in the fourth inning on a Carlos Herrera RBI double before the Hops took the lead in the bottom of the inning, plating three runs highlighted by a Galli Cribbs Jr. two-run single that gave the Hawks the 4-3 lead.
The Hawks added two runs in the fifth inning on back-to-back home runs from McClure and Nate Causey and one final run in the seventh inning on a Wilkyns Jimenez RBI double as the Hawks completed their first road sweep since August 2013.
The Hawks (23-39) will travel to face the Vancouver Canadians (27-33) tomorrow night. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.
