
Late Dust Devils Charge Comes up Short

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils scored two runs in the eighth inning, but it wouldn't be enough as they fell to the Everett AquaSox 6-3 in front of a crowd of 3,347 fans at Gesa Stadium Friday night.
Catcher Austin Allen led the way for the Dust Devils (11-12 Second Half, 33-28 Overall) offensively. Allen went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored a run. Shortstop Peter Van Gansen went 1-for-4 in the game and added an RBI.
Tri-City starter Emmanuel Ramirez (0-1) took the loss on Friday night. Ramirez allowed two runs on five hits over four innings of work. He struck out three and walked four on the evening.
Everett (13-10 Second Half, 35-26 Overall) designated hitter Erick Mejia went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. First baseman Ryan Uhl added three hits for the AquaSox with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and scored a run.
Andrew Miller allowed just one hit and struck out one over three scoreless innings as the starter for the AquaSox. Anthony Misiewicz (3-2) earned the win for Everett. He pitched two innings in relief of Moore, allowing a run on two hits, adding four strikeouts.
The Dust Devils and AquaSox will close out their three game series at Gesa Stadium on Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. There will be postgame fireworks show, if weather permits, presented by U.S. Linen and Uniform.
