Portland, OR - Calvin Pickard made 20 saves and Prab Rai scored two goals to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-0 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks at the Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night.

It was the first career WHL victory and shutout for Pickard and the fourth time that Portland has been shutout this season.

Rai would get the only goal of the first period off a goalmouth scramble, set up by Jim O'Brien and David Richard. Seattle would score twice in the second period on a rebound goal by Lindsay Nielsen and a shorthanded breakaway by Greg Scott. Seattle would round out the scoring on another rebound goal by Rai late in the final period.

Brenden Dillon, O'Brien and Richard all had two assists for Seattle.

On the power play, both teams went scoreless - Seattle on five power play opportunities and Portland on four.

The game ended with a line brawl featuring all five players for each team, resulting in 10 fighting majors and nine game misconducts.
