After both teams went three-up, three-down in the first, the Hawks got a fielders choice RBI for Luke Morgan as Luis Castro scored, after he singled earlier in the inning. Boise led 1-0 and they added another on an RBI-single for Kennard McDowell to make it 2-0.

The Hawks scored again in the third when Luis Castro tripled to bring home two runs and make it 4-0. The Hawks big inning came in the 4th though.

After singles by Daniel Jipping and Luke Morgan, Willie Maciver knocked a 3-run home run over the wall in center field to give Boise a 7-0 lead. Kyle Datres liked what he saw, and came up with a solo shot of his own in the inning to make it 8-0.

Eugene scored two runs in the 7th inning but the Hawks answered right back. It was a two-run home run in the 8th to make it 10-2 off the bat of Luis Castro. After Castros home run, Daniel Jipping scored on an error by Eugene center fielder Fernando Kelli to make it 11-2 Hawks.

It was then two innings of shutout baseball for Colton Pate and an inning from Peyton Gray who ends up being the winning pitcher for the Hawks. Joel Condreay came in for Boise and despite giving up two runs in his debut, got a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.
