
Hawks lose at home 3-1 to Yakima

Ian Harrington pitched five shutout innings and Justin Parker went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, as the Yakima Bears knocked off the Boise Hawks, 3-1, before 2,251 fans at Memorial Stadium.
Playing their first home game in 13 days, the Hawks saw the last-place Bears get an RBI single from Jhoan Pimental in the fourth to open the scoring, then getting an RBI single from Andrew Fie and a sacrifice fly by Greg Bordes in the sixth to open a 3-0 lead.
The Hawks, who fell six-games behind first-place Spokane with the loss, got a solo Ryan Keedy home run in the ninth to avoid the shutout, but Jordan Meeker got Carlos Perez to pop up with representing the tying run in the game to close out the game.
Harrington allowed just three hits in picking up his sixth win for the Bears, who are now 4-6 against Boise.
Tomorrow night, Game 2 of the series is at 7:15 p.m. with Aaron Shafer meeting Sean Morgan.
