Hawks Extend Winning Streak to Eight

South Bend Silver Hawks News Release


South Bend, IN - The South Bend Silver Hawks completed their sweep of Beloit by defeating the Snappers tonight by the score of 5-4. With the win South Bend extends their season high winning streak to 8 games.

South Bend dug themselves a hole by giving up 4 runs in the 2nd inning. South Bend showed resilience by chipping away at the deficit and eventually took a 5-4 lead in the 6th.

The trio of Taylor Harbin, Ramon Ramirez and Jimmy Principe led the offensive attack tonight. The trio combined for 6 out of the 8 hits and all 5 of the RBI's.

Jarrod Parker (9-5) had another rough start, but managed to right the ship to pick up the victory. Parker gave up 4 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings of work. The duo of Jordan Norberto and Clay Zavada pitched 3 innings of shutout relief to end the game.

The Silver Hawks will begin a 3 game series against the Burlington Bees on Saturday. Game time is slated for 7:00 PM.
