The Timber Rattlers tacked on another run in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Sean McCraw had an infield single, but was erased on a fielder's choice by Michael Marseco. Marseco stole second, and came in to score when Juan Sanchez bounced one off of Victor Estevez at short for a RBI single, putting Wisconsin up 2-1 after five innings.
Brock Kjeldgaard's 14th home run of the year came with two outs in the sixth inning, putting Wisconsin up 3-1 on the solo blast. The Timber Rattlers scored two more in the seventh, with Marseco driving home a run with a triple and Sanchez adding a sacrifice fly. All five runs were charged to Cook, who suffered his eighth loss of the year.
The Silver Hawks had two threats in the middle innings, loading the bases with two outs against Nieves in the fifth, and putting runners at first and second with one out against reliever Brandon Ritchie (ND) in the sixth. Nieves struck out Pollock to end the fifth inning, with Ritchie getting a double play from Rossmel Perez to end the sixth.
