Week Twelve in Review The week got off to a good start for the Huntsville Havoc when they beat the Fayetteville Fire Antz 4-1 Tuesday night, however, things were about to change as the Havoc dropped three in a row to finish out the week. The Florida Seals defended home ice with a 6-4 win on Wednesday, the Jacksonville Barracudas converted 4-of-19 power plays in a 4-1 win on Friday night and the Havoc fell at home 2-1 on Saturday to the Knoxville Ice Bears.

Tuesday, January 10 - Huntsville 4, Fayetteville 1 FAYETTEVILLE, NC - James Patterson and Chris Peach scored shorthanded goals in the second period as the Huntsville Havoc handed the Fayetteville Fire Antz their second home loss with a 4-1 win Tuesday night. George Nistas cut the lead to 2-1 with 12:53 left in the third but Jeff Dams answered with a unassisted goal two minutes later extending the lead to 3-1. Bill Monkman added a goal with 2:49 left in the game on an assist by Dams to finish the scoring. Matt Carmichael was brilliant in goal making 35 saves. Jomar Cruz takes the loss. Neither team capatized on the power play, Huntsville 0-of-1, Fayetteville was 0-of-4.

Wednesday, January 11 - Huntsville 4, Florida 6 KISSIMMEE, FL - The Florida Seals scored four straight goals late in the second and early in the third period to defeat the Huntsville Havoc 6-4 Wednesday night. The Seals jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead at the end of the first period on goals by Justin Keller and John Gurskis. The Havoc responded with goals by Mike Degurse, Luke Phillips and Chris Ferguson to a take 3-2 lead. David Deeves and Craig Miller put the Seals back up 4-3 heading into the third period. Casey Handrahan and Lawne Snyder extended the lead to 6-3 early in the third period. Ryan Brown scored his first goal of the season with 1:39 left to cut the lead to 6-4. Nick Niedert took the loss. The Havoc once again struggled on the power play going 0-of-4, Florida was 2-of-4.

Friday, January 13 - Huntsville 1, Jacksonville 4 JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Jacksonville Barracudas converted 4-of-19 power plays on their way to a 4-1 win over the Huntsville Havoc Friday night. Ryan Webb, Dan Hickman, Chad Peck and Patrick Doherty all coverted on the man advantage as the Havoc were whistled for 77 penalty minutes, while the Barracudas were only whistled for 33. The Havoc continue to struggle on the power play and were 0-of-7 on the night. Chris Ferguson netted the only goal for Huntsville in the second period. Nick Niedert made his second consecutive start, stopping 34 shots.

Saturday, January 14 - Knoxville 2, Huntsville 1 HUNTSVILLE, AL - Mike Craigen scored two short-handed goals as the Knoxville Ice Bears beat the Huntsville Havoc 2-1 Saturday night in front of 5,381 fans. Craig Bushey added a goal for the Havoc with 4:11 left in the game to cut the lead to 2-1. James Ronayne stopped 27 shots to get the win. Nick Niedert, playing for the injured Matt Carmichael, stopped 27 in the loss. Knoxville was 0-of-7 on the power play while Huntsville was 0-of-6. Friday, January 20 vs Jacksonville Barracudas - The first 1,500 fans will receive the fourth of five sets of Havoc Trading Cards courtesy of Firehouse Subs, Colonial Printing and WAAY. It's also another WAY-FM Family Fun Friday where for $50 fans receive four General Admission Tickets; four Hot Dogs; four Sodas and a large popcorn. Saturday, January 21 vs Columbus Cottonmouths - Woody Anderson Ford Race Night with special guest, NASCAR and Busch Series drive, Derrike Cope.

The Huntsville Havoc begin a three-game home stand on Thursday and Friday when they host Ron Duguay's Jacksonville Barracudas. Broadcast coverage begins on Thursday with Havoc Game Night at 6:45 pm. Play by play coverage faces off at 7 pm. On Friday night, Havoc Game night begins at 7:15 pm with the face off to follow at 7:30 pm.

Then the Havoc conclude a busy week of games when they host the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:30 pm at the VBC. Havoc Game night begins at 7:15 pm and play by play coverage follows at 7:30 pm.
