Week Eleven in Review The Huntsville Havoc split a pair of home games over the week downing the Pee Dee Cyclones 7-1 on Thursday night before falling to the Knoxville Ice Bears 6-3 Saturday night.
Thursday, January 5 - Pee Dee 1, Huntsville 7 HUNTSVILLE, AL - Chris Peach scored a hat trick as the Huntsville Havoc beat the Pee Dee Cyclones 7-1 Thursday night. Peach put the Havoc on the board with a power play goal with 13:20 left in the first period. He added a second goal with 8:43 left in the second period with another power play goal. James Patterson put the Havoc up 3-0 with a short-handed goal with 5:58 left in the second. Geoff Rollins scored the only Cyclone goal of the night when Pee Dee converted a power play opportunity with 4:38 left in the second. Steve Hynes added the second short-handed goal in the period with :41 left on a great assist from Patterson. The Havoc would add three goals in the third period the first just 2:19 in as Peach converted the third short-handed goal of the night. Craig Bushey made it 6-1 with 6:33 left in the game and Chris Ferguson finished the scoring with 5:09 left. Nick Niedert got his first win of the season making 23 saves. Pee Dee was 1-of-7 on the power play while the Havoc was 2-of-6.
Saturday, January 7 - Knoxville 6, Huntsville 3 HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Knoxville Ice Bears scored four goals in the third period on their way to a 6-3 win over the Huntsville Havoc Saturday in front of 5,494 fans. The game was scoreless through the first period before Knoxville added goals by K.J. Vorhees and Jason Birmingham in the second period. The Havoc struck early in the third period when James Patterson scored at the 19:46 mark. Huntsville tied the game at 2-2 four minutes later when a Craig Bushey slapshot went past Ryan Person. Knoxville took a 4-2 lead on Vorhees second goal of the night and a powerplay goal by Marcus Forsberg. Huntsville cut the lead to 4-3 on a Jeff Dams power play goal with 9:02 left in the game. A questionable high-sticking call and a bench minor for unsportsmanlike conduct on the Havoc bench led to a 5-on-3 goal by K.C. Caudill to extend the lead to 5-3. Kevin Swider added an empty net goal with :08 left.

On the Air The John Gibson radio show will not air the week as the team has departed on a three game, four day road trip.
On Tuesday night the Havoc will battle the Fayetteville Fire Antz. Denis J. Puska will bring you all the action with Havoc Game Night live at 6:15 pm with the broadcast to follow at 6:30 pm. The game will broadcast on the radio and internet.
The Havoc will travel to Kissimmee on Wednesday night as the Havoc take on the Florida Seals. Havoc Game Night will begin at 6:15 with the broadcast to follow at 6:30. Due to Alabama basketball the game will be broadcast over the internet only.
The road trip continues on Friday night at the Havoc travels to Jacksonville to battle the Barracudas. The pre-game show will begin as soon as the Thom Abraham Show ends and the play-by-play will follow. The game will carried on radio and internet.
The busy week concludes on Saturday night as the Havoc will once again host the Knoxville Ice Bears. Havoc Game Night will begin at 7:15 with the broadcast to follow. Due to the NFL Playoffs the game will be available on internet only.
