Havoc Spilts In Fayetteville

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc split a pair of game in Fayetteville over the weekend winning 5-4 in overtime Friday night before dropping a 5-4 decision Saturday night.
Friday, February 27 (at Fayetteville) - Travis Kauffeldt deflected a Paul Falco shot past Chad Collins with :25 left in overtime giving the Huntsville Havoc a 5-4 win over the Fayetteville FireAntz Friday night.
Emery Olauson would give Fayetteville a 2--0 lead early in the first period on back-to-back goals. Billy Tibbetts would cut the lead to 2-1 with :38 left in the first period.
Lawne Snyder would extend the lead to 3-1 midway through the second period. Travis Kauffeldt and Ray Ortiz would tie the game at 3-3 with two late second period goals.
Karlis Zirnins gave the Havoc their first lead of the night with 11:43 to go in the game before Olauson capped the hat-trick with 8:09 left to even the game at 4-4.
Tim Haun made 26 saves in the win while Collins made 22 in the loss.
Saturday, February 28 (at Fayetteville) - Justin Rohr scored two goals for the Havoc but it wasn't enough as they fell 5-4 to the Fayetteville FireAntz Saturday night.
Billy Tibbetts and Ray Ortiz would also find the back of the net for the Havoc.
Emery Olauson scored two goals for Fayetteville while Matt Moreland, Chris Leveille and Lawne Snyder all scored one each.
Ross Cherry started for the Havoc and allowed five goals and made 15 saves. Tim Haun made 10 saves in 30 minutes of play after coming in for Cherry. Chad Collins made 45 saves in the win for Fayetteville.
