Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc wrapped up the 2009-10 season over the weekend by going 1-1 and now ready themselves for a run at the President's Cup as the number two overall seed.
The Havoc will host the Pensacola Ice Flyers in round one starting Wednesday night in Huntsville at 7:30. Game two will be Friday night in Pensacola at 7:05 and game three, if needed, will be Sunday afternoon at 5:00 back in Huntsville.
Friday, March 26 - Huntsville 3, Knoxville 9
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Knoxville Ice Bears scored four goals in the third period breaking a close 5-3 game and turning it into a 9-3 win over the Huntsville Havoc.
Tim Vitek finished with four goals for the Ice Bears and Mark Van Vliet had two.
Vladimir Hartinger, Bill McCreary and Mike all scored goals for the Havoc.
Saturday, March 27 - Columbus 2, Huntsville 6
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc wrapped up the 2009-10 season in good fashion with a 6-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths Saturday night in front of 5,103 fans.
Vladimir Hartinger had two goals and an assist for the Havoc. Jeff White, Brett Liscomb, B.J. Radovich and Travis Kauffeldt all scored one each for Huntsville.
Chris Myers and Justin Rohr each had two assists.
Daryl Moore and Tim Green scored goals for the Cottonmouths.
Dan McWhinney made 20 saves in the win while Chad Rycroft made 45 in the loss.
