Havoc, Ice Bears Split Two Games

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc and the Knoxville Ice Bears split a pair of games with each winning on home ice for the week. Huntsville took a 6-4 win on Thursday before falling 3-2 on Sunday.

Thursday, December 23 - Knoxville 4, Huntsville 6

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc fell behind 2-0 in the first 3:16 of the game but rallied to pull out a 6-4 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears Thursday night.

Martin Kubliak scored just :29 into the game and Rob Campbell added a powerplay goal with 3:16 gone to jump out to the early 2-0 lead.

Adam Lukacovic scored his first goal of the season at the 3:46 mark and Mike Carter tied the game with 2:05 left in the first and the game was 2-2 at the end of one.

Lukacovic added his second goal of the game with 8:35 to go in the second and the Havoc had a 3-2 lead after two periods of play.

Kyle Laughlin scored a powerplay goal just :29 into the third to give Huntsville a two goal lead that wouldn't last.

Ryan Ramage scored with 11:28 left and Tyler Fletched scored with 9:19 to tie the game at 4-4.

The Havoc responded quickly when Mike MacDonald scored with 7:15 left and Kevin Kessler sealed the win a goal with 5:51 to go.

Mark Sibbald made 29 saves in the win, while Andrew Gallant made 27 in the loss.

Sunday, December 26 - Huntsville 2, Knoxville 3

KNOXVILLE, TN - The Knoxville Ice Bears scored with 2:22 left in the game breaking a 2-2 tie and giving them a 3-2 win over the Huntsville Havoc Sunday evening.

After a scoreless first period, Mike MacDonald gave Huntsville a 1-0 at the 3:15 mark of the second period. Mike Tuomi would tie the game at 1-1 with 4:34 to go in the period and the game was tied after two.

Emery Olauson put the Ice Bears up 2-1 with 13:54 to go in the game and Omar Pacha even things back up at 2-2 with 5:20 to go. Frank Furdero scored the game-winner for Knoxville.

Mark Sibbald made 28 saves in the loss and Andrew Gallant made 17 in the win as Knoxville outshot the Havoc 31-19.
