Knoxville Ice Bears News Release

Knoxville, TN - The world's fastest golfer set a world record at last night's Knoxville Ice Bears game, and aims to break another tomorrow night as the Ice Bears take on the Augusta RiverHawks at the Civic Coliseum. The world's fastest golfer hit 51 golf balls in 30 seconds, breaking his own world record of hitting 49 in the same amount of time.

David "Ogie" Ogron and his partner Speedy are in Knoxville as part of their 300-day tour, bringing their message to "never give up" to spectators around the world.

For more than 7 years, Ogie and Speedy have wowed crowds with their unique talents while raising money for charities like Children's Miracle Network and Saint Jude's Hospital. They have made stops in China, Germany and Puerto Rico, have been on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "The Early Show" and have even been spotlighted on ESPN.

They have broken records from the most golf balls hit in one minute to the most golf balls hit in 24 hours straight (10,392). Tuesday night, when the Knoxville Ice Bears host the Augusta RiverHawks at 7:30 pm, Ogie looks to break his record at the Ice Bears last home game of the year.

You can see Ogie in action Tuesday night at the Civic Coliseum during the first intermission. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
