Havoc Drop Two In Peoria

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc dropped a pair of game to the Peoria Rivermen falling 5-2 on Friday and 4-2 on Saturday.
Friday, December 6 - Huntsville 2, Peoria 5
PEORIA, IL - Taylor Larson scored three goals, two short-handed, as the Peoria Rivermen beat the Huntsville Havoc 5-2 in Friday night.
Larson scored his first short-handed goal just 7:30 into the first period as Peoria went up 1-0.
Stuart Stefan tied the game at 1-1 with a powerplay goal with 8:43 left in the second period. Leland Fidler gave the Havoc a 2-1 lead just :30 later.
Larson answered for the Rivermen with an even strenght goal with 3:31 left in the period and his second short-handed goal with :43 left as Peoria led 3-2 after two periods.
Steve Morra scored a powerplay goal 2:21 into the third period and Peoria led 4-2. Matt Viola added an empty net goal with :41 seconds left to seal the win.
Jesse Kallechy made 34 saves in the loss for the Havoc.
Saturday, December 7 - Huntsville 3, Peoria 4
PEORIA, IL - Stuart Stefan scored two goals for the Huntsville Havoc but it wasn't enough as they fell 4-3 to the Peoria Rivermen for second straight night to the Peoria Rivermen.
Stefan gave the Havoc a 2-0 lead with goals at the 16:17 mark of the first period and the 1:12 mark of the second period.
Peoria answered with goals by Charlie Carkin with 14:28 left in the second and 18:36 left in the third to tie the game at 2-2.
Matt Singleton scored his first goal of the season :14 later to put the Havoc back up 3-2.
Garrett Vermeersch tied the game at 3-3 with 12:43 left in the game and Corey Tamblyn scored the game-winner with 2:16 left.
Jesse Kallechy made 29 saves in the loss.
