Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Tim Haun returned in net Sunday and afternoon and salvaged the final game of a three-game road trip with a 2-1 win over Twin City. Huntsville had fallen to the Knoxville Ice Bears on Friday and the Richmond Renegades on Saturday before winning at Twin City.
Friday, February 6 (at Knoxville) - The Huntsville Havoc rallied from being down 5-2 and cut the lead to 5-4 in the third period but came up short in a 6-4 loss to the Knoxville Ice Bears Friday night. Travis Kauffeldt scored two goals while Ray Ortiz and Jeff Genovy scored one each for the Havoc. Ross Cherry made 25 saves in the loss.
Saturday, February 7 (at Richmond) - Bill McCreary tied the game at 2-2 early in the third period before the Richmond Renegades reeled off three straight goals on their way to a 5-2 win Saturday night. Edan Welch added a penalty shot in the second period for the only scoring of the night for the Havoc. Matt Larke scored two goals for the Renegades. Ryan Scott made 34 saves in the win, while Ross Cherry made 29 in the loss.
Sunday, February 8 (at Twin City) - Tim Haun was making his first apperance in a Huntsville Havoc uniform in over two months and the result was a 2-1 win over the Twin City Cyclones Sunday afternoon. Tristan Lush put the Havoc up 1-0 with 3:36 left in the second period when he scored a goal with the extra attacker. Taylor Hustead would tie the game at 1-1 with 1:08 left when he scored on the Cyclones powerplay. B.J. Radovich would get the game-winner with 13:03 left in the game when scored with a assist from Travis Kauffeldt. Haun finished the night with 29 saves. Terry Dunbar made 21 in the loss.
