Hartford Wolf Pack to Participate in the Greater Hartford March for Babies

HARTFORD, March 14, 2008: Northland AEG announced today that the Hartford Wolf Pack will be forming a team to participate in the Greater Hartford March for Babies on April 27, 2008.

The March for Babies (formerly know as WalkAmerica) is the largest annual fundraiser for the March of Dimes, an organization whose mission is to promote the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Wolf Pack player Mitch Fritz will be serving as the captain of the Wolf Pack's March for Babies team and invites all Wolf Pack fans to join the team and help to raise funds and awareness for this cause. Currently 6'8" and 258 pounds, Fritz was born two months premature himself, weighing only 4 pounds.

The Greater Hartford March for Babies begins at the XL Center (formerly the Hartford Civic Center), with registration at 9 a.m. and the walk starting at 10 a.m.. The event is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation will be sponsoring the Kid Zone at the event.
