Harrison Reed Loaned To Florida

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today that the Carolina Hurricanes have reassigned forward Harrison Reed to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Reed is expected to play in Florida's Wednesday night road game against the Reading Royals before returning to Albany.

Reed, 21, has two assists in 29 games this season for the River Rats. Carolina's third round (93rd overall) selection in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft also has 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) in eight games this year for Florida. The Newmarket, Ontario native totaled nine points (five goals, four assists) in 70 games with Albany as a rookie last season. Reed (6'1", 188 lbs.) totaled 178 points (69g, 109a) in 210 regular-season games with London, Sarnia and Guelph during his four year career in the Ontario Hockey League.
