Green Bay Rockers News Release

Aided largely by another gem from starting pitcher Garrett Harrison, the Bullfrogs defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks 3-1 on Sunday to improve to 14-18 on the season.

All three runs for the Bullfrogs came in the fifth inning. Robert Youngdahl scored first on a Lakeshore passed ball. Andrew Ely then drove home Bryant Burleson with an RBI single. That was the only Bullfrog RBI of the day. Ely later scored on a Chinook error in the fifth inning.

The Bullfrogs held their 3-0 all the way into the seventh inning, when Aaron Machbitz drove home Jon Norwood with an RBI double. The run was charged to LHP Garrett Harrison, who went seven innings and only allowed one run to earn his second win of the season.

Jordan Wright came in from the bullpen to pitch the eighth inning. He walked three batters and recorded three outs before being relieved by Will Landsheft who was able to strand two runners on and preserve the Bullfrog lead.

Landsheft once again stranded two more runners in the ninth to hold onto the Green Bay lead and earn his third save of 2013 and the tenth of his Bullfrog career.

Harrison (2-1) earned the win. Donnie Hissa (3-2) took the loss. Landsheft (3) had the save.

The Bullfrogs return to Kapco Park Monday for a series rubber match against the Chinooks. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

Tickets are still available. Please call 920-497-7225 or visit www.greenbaybullfrogs.com for more information.

The Bullfrogs are a part of the 16-team Northwoods League. The Northwoods League has more fans and more teams than any other summer collegiate baseball league.
