The Wildcats took on their second game in two days tonight as they battled the Voltigeurs at the Centre Marcel Dionne in Drummondville Quebec. Guillaume Nadeau came away with the win after Drummondville beat the Wildcats 4-0 in front of 2,509 fans.

It was Charity Bear night in Drummondville which resulted in a sea of bears littering the ice after Jonathan Olginy, Drummondville's left winger, scored with 2min 02 seconds into the first period; this was his second of the season.

The Wildcats weren't able to cash in on three powerplay opportunities against their opponents and the shots on goal after the first period were 13 to 6 favoring the Voltigeurs.

Early in the 2nd period Drummondville took the stage again when Jean-Philippe Mathieu picked up the puck on an assist from Jonathan Brunelle and put it past Shane Owen with 1min and 17 seconds in.

The score became 3-0 with an unassisted goal by Remi Blanchard at the 13min 43 second mark and the Voltigeurs were able to keep things as-is after 40 minutes of play in the game. Shane Owen faced 11 shots on net during the 2nd period, 24 overall after 2 periods.

The third period started off stronger for the Wildcats, but diminished quickly when 4min 59 seconds into the third period Mathieu Guertin added a fourth goal to the scoreboard for the Voltigeurs.

Shane Owen came up with many key saves in the 3rd period but time fell short for a comeback by the Wildcats.

Game 3 tomorrow afternoon is at 5pm AST as the Wildcats take on the Gatineau Olympiques.
