Hamilton Travels To Peoria And Chicago This Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will travel to Peoria to battle the Rivermen (AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) on Friday, October 16th at 8:00 p.m. EST. The =A1=AEDogs will close out the week with a match-up in Chicago against the Wolves (AHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers) on Saturday, October 17th at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Last week, Hamilton hosted their first home game of the season defeating the Rockford IceHogs 3-0 in front of 6,187 fans at Copps Coliseum.

BULLDOGS NOTES:

- The Bulldogs earned a shutout in their home opener of the season for the second year in a row with a 3-0 victory over the Rockford IceHogs.

- Friday's game marked the first time D Marc-Andre Bergeron skated with the Bulldogs since the 2003 Calder Cup Finals. Bergeron earned two assists in the game.

- D Yannick Weber was assigned to the Bulldogs from the Montreal Canadiens yesterday. Weber played in three games with the Canadiens but was held pointless.

- LW Andrew Conboy recorded his first-career AHL goal in Friday's 3-0 win.

- The Bulldogs prevailed in both contests with the Wolves last season, earning a record of 2-0-0-0

- The all-time series between the clubs currently sits with the Bulldogs holding a 9-7-0-2-0 record

- C Johnny Pohl (1-1-2), LW Brett Sterling (1-1-2), D Jamie Hunt (0-2-2), and C Jason Krog (0-2-2) are currently leading the Wolves' attack this season, each scoring two points in the team's first three games

- Columbus G Mathieu Garon stopped all 36 shots he faced and picked up his first shutout of the season as the Blue Jackets beat Phoenix 2-0 (Oct. 10)

- Edmonton RW Zack Stortini notched his first two goals of the season - one on the power play - as the Oilers beat-up on the Predators 6-1 (Oct. 12)

- Los Angeles C Jarrett Stoll had two assists and was a combined +2 with 4 shots on goal in wins over Minnesota (Oct. 8) and the New York Islanders (Oct. 12)

- Boston RW Michael Ryder scored a goal and added an assist while finishing +1 with three shots on net as the Bruins were defeated by Colorado (Oct. 12)

- Columbus LW Jason Chimera scored a goal, and had 4 shots on net as San Jose beat the Blue Jackets (Oct. 8)

- Edmonton C Shawn Horcoff scored a goal, was +1, and had two shots on net in a win over Nashville (Oct. 12)

- Chicago G Cristobal Huet outlasted Colorado G Craig Anderson in a shootout that saw 18 attempts by shooters and guided the Blackhawks to a hard-fought 4-3 comeback victory (Oct. 10)

- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro continued his strong start to the 2009-2010 campaign as he collected four points on two goals and two assists, and was a combined +3 with 7 shots on goal in a win over Calgary (Oct. 9) and a shootout loss to Vancouver (Oct. 11)

- Edmonton LW Jean-Francois Jacques picked up a goal and had three shots on net in a win over Montreal (Oct. 10), then added an assist and finished +1 in a win over Nashville (Oct. 12)

- Nashville G Dan Ellis made 22 saves to lead the Predators to a win over Colorado (Oct. 8)

- Atlanta D Ron Hainsey scored a goal, and was +1 with three shots on net in a loss to Ottawa (Oct. 10)

- Edmonton G Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers stopped 40 of Nashville's 41 shots to backstop the Oilers to a 6-1 victory over the Predators (Oct. 12)

- Columbus LW Raffi Torres had one goal in a 6-3 loss to San Jose (Oct. 8)

- Montreal LW Andrei Kostitsyn scored the Canadiens' only goal, and did so on the power play, as Vancouver triumphed 7-1 (Oct. 7)
