Holtby assigned to South Carolina

HERSHEY - The 2009 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Washington Capitals that goaltender Braden Holtby has been reassigned from the BEARS to South Carolina (ECHL). The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Holtby, 20, has played in three games for HERSHEY this season, registering a 2-1-0 record and a 1.01 goals against average. The native of Marshall, SK was HERSHEY'S third goaltender during the 2009 Calder Cup playoffs.

The BEARS embark on a three-game road trip Friday at Adirondack against the Phantoms. HERSHEY is next at home on Saturday, October 24 when the Binghamton Senators visit for the first time in 2009-10. Tickets are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
