Tonight, the Niagara IceDogs were back at the Meridian Centre facing off against the #5 team in the country, the Hamilton Bulldogs.
The IceDogs still face a depleted roster, with a total of 7 players out with injuries and suspensions. Of the 16 players who dressed today, 4 were call-ups and 8 were rookies.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring for the afternoon. By the end of the first they were up 5-0.
Hamilton tallied 3 more in the second, extending their lead to 8-0.
Andrew Wycisk put the IceDogs on the board in the third, tallying his 2nd of the season with newly signed rookie, Ilia Chmelevski picking up the assist, marking his first OHL career point! Soon after, Daniel Michaud got his 10th goal of the season. Hamilton scored 2 more in the third.
Ultimately, the Hamilton Bulldogs took the win, 10-2.
