Hamill Adds Assist in Win at Top Prospects Game

Everett Silvertips forward Zach Hamill added an assist while former Silvertips defenseman Eric Doyle chipped in with 2 assists to help Team Michel Bergeron and Pat Burns to a 5-3 victory over Team Scotty Bowman and Jacques Demers at the 2007 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects game on Wednesday night at Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec.

The Silvertips had two representatives participating in the event in forward Zach Hamill and defenseman Taylor Ellington. Hamill picked up an assist for Team Bergeron/Burns in the first period to help give his team a 2-1 lead after the first period. The Port Coquitlam, BC native also finished the hockey game with a +1 rating. Silvertips defenseman Taylor Ellington did not factor in the three goals scored by Team Bowman/Demers.

Chilliwack Bruins forward Oscar Moller earned first star honors with a goal and an assist in a losing cause. Team Bowman/Demers out shot Team Bergeron/Burns by a margin of 30-28 in the hockey game. Team Bowman/Demers went 2 for 6 on the power play and Team Bergeron/Burns went 0 for 2 on the extra man advantage.

The game showcased 40 of the CHL's top players (19 from the WHL) that are eligible for selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The players were selected by the National Hockey League's 30 teams and were separated into two teams prior to the event.
