Chilliwack Bruins News Release

Chilliwack Bruins fans are well aware of Oscar Moller's prowess on the ice. Now, thanks to his performance in the Canadian Hockey League Prospects game Wednesday night in Quebec city, hockey fans across Canada are in the know as well.

Moller, the 35th ranked prospect for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft scored once, added an assist, looked dangerous all night and was named the Team White Player of the Game. Team Red won the contest 5-3.

Moller was the Bruins first selection, 2nd overall in the 2006 CHL Import Draft. The 5'11 native of Spanga Sweden wasted little time adjusting to the North American game.

He currently leads the Bruins with 20 goals.

"His character's outstanding," stated Bruins General Manager Darrell May, noting that Moller was captain of Sweden's under-15 and under-16 national teams. "We've been extremely happy with him. We weren't sure how quickly he would adjust to the North American game - the smaller ice and all that - but we definitely knew he'd be a key part of our team."

Moller will be in the Bruins lineup Thursday night when they take on the Kelowna Rockets in Kelowna. The Bruins trail the fourth place Rockets by four points in the BC Division.
