Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Ontario Hockey League Announced yesterday that Attack forward Michael Halmo has received an eight game suspension for a head check on Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Defenseman, Bock Beukeboom.
Halmo's hit was occurred at the 11:11 mark of the third period and Halmo was immediately assessed a Five Minute Major Penalty for Head Checking. The Ontario Hockey League conducted a thorough review of the incident, which lead to Halmo being suspended for eight games.
The Ontario Hockey League also conducted a review of Matt Petgrave's alleged involvement with Plymouth fans and came to the conclusion that no suspension was warranted.
With Michael Halmo now suspended, the Attack will be without his services until the Eastern road swing on January 7th. The Attack is also without the services of Scott Stacjer (INJ), Curtis Crombeen (INJ), Jarrod Maidens (INJ) and Cameron Brace (SUSP) for the foreseeable future while Jesse Blacker, Joey Hishon and Garrett Wilson will depart after Friday's game in Kitchener for the National Junior Team Selection Camp. Defenseman Jack Kuzmyk will be a game day decision.
