SYRACUSE (NY) - The Syracuse Chiefs defeated the Durham Bulls 3-0 on Tuesday at the Blue Jays complex in Dunedin, Florida.
Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay started on the mound for Syracuse and tossed seven scoreless innings allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out nine Bulls. Jo Matumoto and Blaine Neal each pitched one scoreless inning in relief to preserve the shutout for the Chiefs.
Chad Mottola had two hits including a home run and Adam Lind tripled for Syracuse.
The Chiefs (7-4-1) travel to Clearwater, Florida on Wednesday where they will take on the Ottawa Lynx at 1:00 PM at the Phillies complex.
