Everett AquaSox News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox regret to announce NBA great Gary Payton is unavailable to appear at the Everett AquaSox game on July 26th. However we are excited to announce that MLB Hall of Famer, seven-time All-Star and three-time World Series Champion Rollie Fingers will be appearing at Everett Memorial Stadium on Thursday, July 26, as part of The Principal Financial Dreams Tour, a national tour sponsored by Principal Financial GroupR to celebrate minor league baseball and its fans from coast to coast.

The fan-day celebration will consist of an appearance by Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers at the ballpark, plus in-stadium contests, prizes and more.

Fans also will have the opportunity to learn more about The PrincipalR and how to plan for a secure financial future through a series of entertaining videos which will be played on the giant scoreboard video screen.

"When it comes to safe, family-friendly entertainment, nothing beats minor league baseball, a true institution for American families," said Mary O'Keefe, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, The Principal. "We're excited to continue our support and bring this special experience to fans and our customers at local ballparks around the nation."

Rollie will throw out the 7:05 p.m. game's ceremonial first pitch, and will then be signing autographs for fans for 90 minutes during the game.

Fans must hold a ticket to the July 26 AquaSox vs. Salem-Keizer game in order to enter the ballpark for autographs.

Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992, Fingers had a stellar career for both the Oakland Athletics and Milwaukee Brewers, winning the World Series in 1972-1974 with the A's, and the World Series MVP in 1974. He also was named Rolaids Relief Man of the Year four times, AL MVP and AL Cy Young winner in 1981, and had his uniform number 34 retired by both the Oakland Athletics and Milwaukee Brewers.

The AquaSox return home on Tuesday, July 24, for a six-game home stand against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and Vancouver Canadians. Season tickets, group outings and both 12 and 16 game packages are available. Call (425) 258-3673 or visit the AquaSox office at 3802 Broadway in Everett for more information.
