
Haley Skarupa to be Faith and Family Guest Speaker

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds, Class-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and Mountaire Farms are excited to announce that Haley Skarupa will be the guest speaker for Mountaire Farms Faith and Family Night at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Saturday, June 9th.
Skarupa was a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Hockey team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, upsetting Canada in the championship game in a 3-2 shootout.
Haley has also played in three International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championships, helping the U.S. to three world titles. She has also competed in three Four Nation's Cups.
Before becoming an Olympic Gold Medalist, Skarupa played women's college hockey at Boston College for four years. She currently plays professionally for the Boston Pride in the National Women's Hockey League.
Skarupa, a Rockville, MD native, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the Shorebirds game on June 9th, sign autographs, take pictures, interact with fans, and speak to the crowd before the postgame Q105 fireworks show.
The Shorebirds face the Hagerstown Suns (affiliate of the Washington Nationals) on Saturday, June 9th. Gates open at 5:30 PM with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM.
