Halak Joins Bulldogs

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced that goaltender Jaroslav Halak has been recalled from the Long Beach Ice Dogs (ECHL).

Halak, 20, has played in 20 games for the Ice Dogs this season, posting a record of 11-4-2, with a 2.05 goals-against average, and a 0.932 save percentage. The native of Bratislava, Slovakia had two previous stints with the Bulldogs in 2005-06, but did not see any action.

The Montreal Canadiens selected Halak in the ninth round, 271st overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bulldogs next action will take place on Friday, February 24 when they face the Syracuse Crunch in the first game of a seven game road trip. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Hamilton's next home game will take place on Friday, March 10 when they take on the Manitoba Moose. Game time is 7:30 p.m. and it can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14. Tickets are available at Copps Coliseum Box Office (in-person sales only), any Ticketmaster outlet, online at ticketmaster.ca, or at select Sports Obsession locations.
