Guzman Homers In Loss

Jonathan Guzman connected on his first home run of the season, finishing 3 for 4 on the night. He was a triple shy of a cycle.

Matt Vierling extended his current hit streak to eight games with a double in the top of the 5th inning.

Vierling had his string of three-hit games come to an end at three, finishing the night 1 for 4.

Lenin Rodriguez collected his first RBI of the season. In the process, ended the night 2 for 3 with a pair of singles in just his second game of the season.

Juan Escorcia suffered his first loss of the season, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two in an inning and two-thirds.

Rafael Carvajal and Oscar Marcelino combined to allow two runs, one earned, over six and one-third innings out of the Crosscutters bullpen. The lone earned run came on a home run allowed by Carvajal.

Williamsport had not homered in back-to-back games this season before tonight. Now have four home runs on the season.
