Guy Fieri to Appear at Phantoms Game Friday

YOUNGSTOWN, OH - Food Network superstar Guy Fieri will appear at the Phantoms Hockey game this Friday, November 11 at the Covelli Centre as the Youngstown Phantoms take on the Muskegon Lumberjacks. Fieri, the host of NBC's "Minute To Win It" and the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," will drop the ceremonial first puck and host a 60-second contest as part of the first intermission entertainment.

Two lucky fans will be randomly selected to participate in one of Fieri's famous 60-second contests, which will be played out on the ice during the first intermission. The winner will receive a gift pack from Gia Russa! The Covelli Centre doors open at 6:15 pm and Fieri will drop the puck at 7:15 pm.

Fieri, personal friends with Phantoms owner Bruce J. Zoldan, attended the Kentucky Derby in Louisville in May with Zoldan when Animal Kingdom, owned by Team Valor of which Zoldan is a major investor, won in an amazing come-from-behind victory to win the Roses at famed Churchill Downs. Fieri joined Zoldan and his party in the winner's circle.

Friday is Veteran's Day and the Phantoms will be offering half-priced tickets for anyone who has served or currently serves in our armed forces with a military I.D. Local country music star Sarah Turner will also honor our servicemen and women with the opening "Star Spangled Banner" and a special rendition of "God Bless America."

Friday's game will also feature Phantom Fireworks' "Great Bike Giveaway" to benefit local area charities. The second Student I.D. night of the season Friday will allow current high school and college students to receive 50 percent off Purple Level tickets when they show their current school I.D.
