The Delmarva Shorebirds got a timely hit from Juan Gutierrez to drive in the winning run in the eighth to win their fifth straight and improve to 13-1 at Perdue Stadium in the second half. The Shorebirds remain a top the South Atlantic Leagues Northern Division with an 18-6 record. Paco Figuero dazzled not only with the glove but also had two hits, as did Cates, Fransz and Gutierrez. The Shorebirds send Luis Ramirez to the hill Tuesday putting his 23 inning shutout streak on the line against Lake County in the final game of the four game set.
