
Gulutzan Wins 200th, Wranglers Sweep Grizzlies

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a perfect 3-0-0 record this past week, sweeping the Utah Grizzlies. The Wranglers started the week with a 1-0 win in Utah on Friday night. The two teams played in Las Vegas on Saturday, with the Wranglers taking the second game of the series 4-1. Las Vegas concluded the sweep with a come from behind 3-2 shootout win on Sunday.
Las Vegas will head to Phoenix for a game on Wednesday night at 6:11 pm (PST) at U.S. Airways Arena. Friday, the Wranglers return home to host Fresno at 7:05 pm. The first 2,500 fans will receive a "Duke" Piggy Bank, compliments of Cox Communications. The Wranglers will finish their week with a 7:30 face-off at Save Mart Center in Fresno on Saturday night.

West Valley, UT - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 1-0 at the E-Center on Friday night. Las Vegas goalie Kevin Lalande made 32 saves for his second career shutout and his seventh win of the season. Utah goalie Mike Mole stopped 34 of 35 Las Vegas shots in the loss. Las Vegas right wing Adam Cracknell scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season in the win.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 4-1 in front of 6,502 fans at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night. Las Vegas goalie Kevin Lalande made 24 saves for his eighth win of the season. Wranglers' right wing Adam Cracknell scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season and dished out an assist in the win. Forward Bruce Mulherin also scored and added an assist for Las Vegas. Forwards Tyler Mosienko and Chris Ferraro netted goals in the victory.
Sunday, January 27th
Utah 2 at Las Vegas 3 SO
Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 in a sudden death shootout in front of 3,765 fans at the Orleans Arena on Sunday night. Defenseman Jason Jozsa scored in the seventh round of the shootout, pushing the Wranglers in front for the win. Forward Adam Cracknell and defenseman Aaron Power each scored in regulation, capping off a two-goal comeback for Las Vegas. After allowing goals on the first two shootout attempts, Las Vegas goalie Daniel Manzato stopped the next five to seal the victory. Manzato made 30 saves in regulation for his 14th victory of the season and Head Coach Glen Gulutzan picked up his 200th career coaching win.
Wranglers Hit With Injuries
Forward Brandon Kaleniecki and defenseman Jason Dest are both out with unspecified injuries. Defenseman Sean Owens was injured on Saturday night and is out indefinitely. Justin Donati (C) and Mike McBain (D) each remain on the injured reserve list. McBain nor Donati is expected to return this season. Forward Josh Sciba is on the seven-day injured reserve.
Defenseman Tyson Strachan remains in the American Hockey League with the Peoria Rivermen. Left wing Ryan Donally and defenseman Gerry Burke both remain in the AHL with Quad City. Rookie center Curtis Fraser remains with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.
