
Growlers Sign Defenceman Josh Victor

ST. JOHN'S, NL - The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, are proud to announce that defenceman Josh Victor has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) with the Growlers for the upcoming 2023-24 ECHL season.
Victor, 29, appeared in 42 regular season games in the ECHL last year, splitting time between the Kalamazoo Wings, Savannah Ghost Pirates, Florida Everblades and the Worcester Railers. He registered a cumulative three assists and 89 penalty minutes in 2022-23.
Capable of playing as both a forward and a defenceman, the 6'4 Round Rock, Texas native is known for his physical presence and versatility.
Prior to last season, Victor spent 2021-22 with the Wheeling Nailers after plying his trade in the SPHL for a couple seasons upon turning pro. At Fitchburg State College, he spent four years with the Falcons where he captained the team in his senior year.
