Grizzlies Sweep Allen with 5-3 Win

West Valley City, Utah - Tim McGauley had 1 goal and 1 assist and Kevin Carr stopped 36 of 39 shots in the Grizzlies 5-3 win over the Allen Americans.

Allen scored first as David Makowski got a power play goal 6:21 into the game. Utah tied it up as Cole Ully gets his 6th goal of the season 10:38 into the first period.

The second period was all Utah. Josh Dickinson, Tim McGauley and Austin Carroll scored to give the Grizzlies a 4-1 lead. JT Henke had 2 assists in the period.

Allen scored 2 goals late in the 3rd period to cut the Grizzlies lead to 4-3. Makowski scored his 2nd goal to make it a 4-2 game. Alex Breton made it a 1 goal game. Breton has 1 goal and 1 assist.

Caleb Herbert puts the game away for Utah with a shorthanded goal to make it a 5-3 game. Herbert has 17 goals in his 16th game of the season. Herbert and Cole Ully each had 1 goal and 1 assist.

Utah has won 7 of their last 8 games. They finish the homestand with a 5-1 record and got a 3 game sweep of the Allen Americans, outscoring the Americans 14-3 in the series.

The Grizzlies begins a 5 game road trip next Wednesday at Rapid City. They will play Rapid City 3 times than go on Idaho for 2 games on December 7th and 8th.

Grizzlies notes: Matt Berry had 2 assists in the game. Berry had 4 goals and 5 assists in the 3 game series. Cole Ully had 1 goal and 7 assists for the series. Caleb Herbert had 4 goals and 3 assists for the week.
