
Grizzlies drop second in a row to Rascals

For the second time in as many nights, the Grizzlies were routed by the River City Rascals. River City scored seven times in the third and held on for a 13-3 win Monday night in front of 4,749 at GMC Stadium.
The Grizzlies are now 14-24. River City improves to 22-15.
Rasccals left-hander Brian Keating (1-3) kept the Grizzlies off balance for most of the night. Keating went 6 2/3 innings allowing three runs on just four hits. He struck out nine for his first win.
Erik Dessau (1-1) took the loss for the Grizzlies. Dessau went just 4 1/3 innings. He allowed 12 runs, 10 earned, on 11 hits. He struck out six.
Phil Warren was 1-3 with a two-run home run, his fourth of the year. Brandon Averill was 1-4 with an RBI double. Oscar Vargas was 2-2 for the night.
Mikela Olsen had four RBIs on the night for the Rascals. He was 3-5 with a pair of home runs, including a three-run shot. Jon Williams was 2-4 with three RBIs.
The two teams conclude the series with a 7:05 game Tuesday night at GMC Stadium.
