
Grizzlies drop one to Gulls, 4-3

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies fell behind 2-0 in the first period and were unable to comeback on San Diego, falling 4-3 Saturday night at the E-Center.
The Gulls scored twice within the first 12:14 of play jumping to their early lead.
Utah broke through at 1:06 of the second when Ryan Kinasewich took a feed from Brad Herauf cutting the deficit to 2-1. The Grizzlies had five total power-plays in the middle frame, but were never able to level the score at two. San Diego reclaimed their two goal lead at 16:26 of the second with a goal from Pierre-Luc Sleigher.
In the third, Utah trimmed the lead to one once again with newcomer Colt King scoring his fifth overall goal this year at 1:43. San Diego responded though less than two minutes later, making the score 4-2.
The Grizzlies again got within one in the final minute, with Jeff Miles scoring his eighth goal of the year. The score came on Utah's tenth power-play of the night, the Grizzlies also had an extra-attacker on the ice at the time.
Utah (13-8-1) returns home Monday hosting the San Diego Gulls in the final game of the weekend series. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
