
Grizzlies Drop Game Three, Series to Evansville

Sauget, IL - Evansville takes down Gateway 6-2 to secure the series win.
The Grizzlies got on the board first with an RBI groundout that scored Jose Rosario, making it 1-0 in the first.
Evansville took a 2-1 lead with an RBI single from Gary Mattis in the bottom of the third inning.
The Otters added another unearned run in the fifth after Andrew Penner reached on an error to lead-off the inning pushing the Evansville lead to 3-1. The Grizzlies committed four errors in the game.
Miles Gordon's lead-off home run in the sixth made it 4-1 Otters.
Sacrifice flies from Mattis and Gordon in the seventh scored Penner and John Schultz, making the Evansville lead 6-1.
Carlos Vega punched out the side for the Grizzlies in the eighth to keep Gateway within five going to the ninth inning.
Justin Jones led off the ninth with a double for Gateway and was then scored by a Jay Prather RBI single to make it 6-2. Prather has driven in at least one run in the last four games, and six of the last seven he's appeared in.
The Grizzlies will head to Schaumburg to take on the Boomers on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 CT.
