Grizzlies Drop First of Clash Series, 9-2

The Gateway Grizzlies dropped the first of 12 in the Sonic Cross-Town Clash Series 9-2 to the Rascals at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, MO.

The Grizzlies drop to 1-3 on the season, while the Rascals improve to 3-1 on the year.

Justin Backsmeyer picked up the win for the Rascals, his first of the year to go to 1-0. Jason Anderegg took the loss for the Grizzlies, giving up four runs on three hits over four innings of work. He also struck out five. He drops to 0-1 on the season.

Mark Bugger, Kevin Wilson, Josh Stewart, and D.J. Santiago each had one hit for the Grizzlies. Kevin Wilson also picked up an RBI. James Molinari reached three times on walks, going one-for-three. He also stole four bases on the night.

The Grizzlies and the Rascals continue the series Sunday evening at T.R. Hughes Ballpark. First pitch is at 6:05, air time is at 6:00 on the Grizzlies Radio Netwrok.
