Grizzlies and Miners to Play Doubleheader on Thursday

SAUGET, Ill. - The Gateway Grizzlies and Southern Illinois Miners will play a doubleheader on Thursday at GCS Ballpark after Wednesday's game was suspended due to weather. The teams will resume Game 1 in progress beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday with Game 2 scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
Grizzlies' right-hander Max Schonfeld faced only five batters in the game before a rain delay ensued. Schonfeld allowed a lead off home run to Aaron Gates to start the game, which gave Southern Illinois a 1-0 lead. The game was suspended with the Miners having runners on first and third with one out.
