The Grand Rapids Griffins (38-16-1-2) and netminder Jimmy Howard shut out the San Antonio Rampage (21-32-4-1) 3-0 on Tuesday evening at the AT&T Center.
After a scoreless opening period, Grand Rapids wasted no time in the middle frame as Colin Campbell slipped the puck past Rampage netminder Joe Cannata at 1:13. Matt Lorito added to the Griffins lead at the 9:55 mark when he collected his 19th of the season. Grand Rapids registered its final goal of the night at 16:31 thanks to Kyle Criscuolo, solidifying a 3-0 Griffins victory after a scoreless third period.
