Wolf Pack Announce Roster Changes

HARTFORD- Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld today announced the following Wolf Pack roster changes:

The Wolf Pack has recalled forward Michael Joly from its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. The parent New York Rangers have reassigned goaltender Mackenzie Skapski to the Wolf Pack from Greenville. The Rangers have reassigned goaltender Brandon Halverson from the Wolf Pack to Greenville.

Joly, a rookie out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, skated in 18 games with the Wolf Pack in earlier action this season, chalking up two goals and two assists for four points, along with six penalty minutes. In only 29 ECHL contests with the Swamp Rabbits, the 5-11, 172-pound Joly has a team-leading 23 goals, along with 17 assists for 40 points, good for fifth-most on the team. He also is a team-best +16.

A 21-year-old native of Gatineau, Que., Joly was signed to an AHL contract by the Wolf Pack May 13, 2016.

Skapski has seen action in eight games with the Wolf Pack this season, going 1-6-0 with a 4.66 goals-against average and an 85.2% save percentage. In 30 ECHL games with Greenville, the third-year pro out of the Western Hockey League is 17-10-0, with a 3.31 GAA, a 90.3% save percentage and one shutout.

A sixth-round selection (170th overall) by the Rangers in 2013, Skapski is 20-21-3 in 49 career AHL games, with a 2.93 GAA, a 90.0% save percentage and three shutouts.

Halverson, a first-year pro and Ontario Hockey League product, has appeared in 24 games with the Wolf Pack this year and has compiled a 9-14-0 slate, with a 3.40 GAA and an 88.6% save percentage mark. Prior to joining the Wolf Pack November 7, Halverson went 3-1-0 in four ECHL outings with the Swamp Rabbits, with a 1.70 GAA, a 94.3% save percentage and one shutout.

The Wolf Pack start a stretch of six straight road games this Friday, March 10, when they travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The next Wolf Pack home game is Friday, March 24 vs. the Providence Bruins. That is a 7:15 PM game, and, as at all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games, fans can enjoy $1 and $2 beers through the start of the second period.
