Andrew Fritsch scored the one and only goal for the Soo Greyhounds on Friday Night as they opened their pre-season schedule with a 1-1 tie at Saginaw.
Justin Nichols turned aside 20 of the 21 shots he faced on the evening while the Hounds outshot the Spirit 36-21.
The two teams will meet again on Saturday evening (Sept. 7), 7:07 p.m. at the Essar Centre.
