Greyhounds Acquire Sirizzotti from IceDogs

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis announced this afternoon the club has acquired forward Brenden Sirizzotti from the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for a pair of OHL Priority Selection picks. Niagara receives an 8th Round Pick in 2023 and a 3rd Round Pick in 2026.

Sirizzotti,19, comes to the Hounds having played in 23 games this season for the IceDogs recording 7 goals and 14 assists for 21 points. Now in his 3rd year in the OHL, the Whitby, On product has career totals of 25 goals and 47 assists (72 points) in 105 games.

He was originally selected by Ottawa in the 2nd Round of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection from the Whitby Wildcats U16 AAA program. There he had 93 points (32g, 61) in 36 games played before being named the 2019 OMHA ETA Player of the Year.

"We are excited to add Brenden to our program. He fits the mold of what we were looking to add to the group in a highly skilled and motivated player. We feel once Brenden gets accustom to his new environment, he will be able to take big strides in developing his game while complimenting our forward group" stated Raftis.

Sirizzotti is expected to join the Hounds for their final two games before the Christmas Break this weekend in Kitchener (Friday) and Guelph (Saturday afternoon).
